The Vineyard

Our vineyard

From the hills to the sea, a story of wind, sun, and passion

Our wines come from five hectares of carefully cultivated vineyards in the countryside of Villasimius, on the gentle foothill slopes between Rio Foxi and Rio Brennas. At about 200 meters above sea level, the vineyards face Northwest, immersed in a varied and rolling landscape, where the shallow, sandy and granitic soils descend towards the coast, caressed by the sea breeze.

Here, Vermentino and Cannonau find an ideal habitat to express their full character: intense aromas, harmonious structure, and extraordinary body. The vegetation fills the air with typical Mediterranean scrub notes: broom, lavender, helichrysum, mastic, and phillyrea, growing in the shade of wild pear trees, carob trees, and wild olive trees, shaped by the wind and kissed by the sun.

Our grapes come from organic farming, nourished only by sun, rain, and wind. The vine rows are supported by chestnut wood poles and spaced to ensure each plant has the necessary room to grow in harmony, without competition.

The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, windy winters, contributes to giving our wines iodized aromas, sapidity, elegance, and a pleasant smoothness.
From The Hills of the Wind, on the brightest days, you can see the emerald-colored sea and, on the horizon, the Island of Cavoli: a landscape that tells the whole soul of our land.
